I don’t want to get involved with public mud slinging, but I at least have a right to defend myself here … What you are doing Tam, is unethical, unprofessional, arrogant, greedy, and not how business is done in this country. As a business owner I speak with a proper perspective. I will state my facts, and im out of here, im not up for a flaming mud slinging war here on RCU.

I have been a customer of Tam’s for a long time, having purchased several planes, and associated products from him. I have always given Tam first dibs on any purchases I could have made from him. There have been several people I have referred to Tam for services and products, and I always spoke highly of Tam, and considered him a honest business man and a fellow hobbyist. Here are some facts around this fiasco.

- I called Tam 6 months ago to purchase a Skymaster f-15 arf kit. Since skymaster dumped him as a dealer at that time (for a good reason too ) so he got me sold on his personal f-15, which was supposedly 100% rtf and in tip top condition
- When I got the plane, I noticed a lot of sloppy installations, and changed a few things. Here is what I changed: The servo extrensions Tam used were not good and were causing jitter on the tail surfaces.. I replaced these .. I also reinforced the nose gear mounting plates since I was going to fly off of grass .. Tam knew about all of this !!
- The plane had several problems with it, one of which was what ended up being that Tam used a glow fuel stopper on the kerosene tank. This contributed to me crashing the plane !! spilling fuel everywhere ! in the process the struts were bent broken, and some other areas had minor damage .. the plane ended up in rough dirt basically , which ate the gear up ..
- I took the plane home and started to repair it … I removed some of the components (this is when I found the stopper blew out of the tank, and also found the other 3 were also glo stoppers !!
- I called Tam to tell him about this and he was very apologetic, and in fact, admitted to finding glo fuel stoppers mixrd up with his gasoline ones ! he said I could sent the plane in to him and he would look at it, and he felt really bad that his worker assembled the plane wrong. I took the plane back to forward air and sent it to him … I was appreciative of his support and taking an effort to try to make the situation better .. if he said, not I can’t fix it .. I would have been disappointed, but would not have even complained …. Hey , **** happens … this would have been nothing …. Over a year ago, I lost $8K on a BVM bandit that was shipped to me all cracked up, and the wonderful fellow who sold it did not hold up responsibility for even 1 cent … im used to getting shafted …..
- 3 months go by !! and just a few days ago Tam says he finally opened the box , I am also now hearing him complain how busy he is, etc ..
- Tam then goes on to accuse me of lying to what happened, and says he supposedly knows someone who saw me crash the plane, differently than what I told him. I fly at a private field, only with my close friends ! , no one that even ever deals or knows Tam was even there …. The story also changed every time Tam told it …. After he could not tell me who the persone was, or even confirm that this person has ever in their life even seen my fly, he changed his tune ..
- Now tam starts lying and accusing me of not sending him the stoppers back. I sent them back, and clearly remember making sure I included them, along with all other parts of the plane … at that time I was very appreciative of Tam’s willingness to fix the plane … that is asides from the fact he had done a horrible job on it …. I know other people too who can atest to how horrible and unprofessional Tam’s install jobs are … Tam is barely qualified as a builder, and for that matter is not much of a pilot either …. Tam makes a good pipe, and has some other good products …. I feel like all of a sudden Tam is taking his frustrations out on mt and feels like he has toi defend himself .. from what ? I don’t know …
- Tam now has my plane, and says he will not return it, and wants me to pay ridiculous shipping fees and storage charges for the plane having been at his place …. Trying to milk me ,me , that’s what he’s doing .
- I have been yelled, and screamed at, cursed at, insulted, and now publicly defamed ! Tam wont discuss this in a civil manner and hangs up on me while yelling like the monkey he is now proving himself to be.
- I told Tam, if he has no time to or does not want to fix it, send it back. He already has my $ and now also my plane. I also expect an apology for being treated with an appalling level of disrespect

- not to sound arrogant, but I do not need to go around ripping people like Tam off for a a measly $500 – 700 repair job …. I make enough and have enough honesty and integrity not to stoop that low. Anyone can go ahead and ask around how much crap I buy ? I spent over $40K on rc this year alone !!!! just bought an at400, yesterday ordered a $8500 ¼ scale heli … month ago bought over $11K of high end jet kits, have 2 jet cat turbines on order, just got 2 more skymaster planes in, bought 2 p-38 YA war birds within 3 months ,and the list goes on …. Bottom line, I don’t rip people off, I have no reason to, and have morals better than that ….. I know I can get argumentative and stubborn (especially here on rcu, but I am not what Tam is saying…… Tam’s true colors are really shining.

- if Tam is a man (and not a monkey) he will apologize, and to me it will be like it never happened. I am disappointed that he won’t fix the plane …. , but am appalled that he is now trying to rip me off and steal from me … this is not how business is done here in this country ! hey Tam, you want to tell everyone how you are stealing other peoples designs to make your own arfs ?????? hmmm . I bet you don’t want to go there do you ?
