Default RE: AVOID THESE ARF's AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course there is much more to a good quality model than a pretty covering scheme, so I really took a hard look at the construction of the fuselage and wing components. I was impressed as everything was tight and straight. The quality of the wood seemed as good as any other Chinese model that I have built. Despite rumors that I heard claiming that their planes are heavy, this model is actually lighter than my Hobbico Avistar with the same dimensions. One of the most critical places that I look at is the glue joints. I like to see the balsa joints tight with no gaps and it is nice to see a visible sign of glue around the joint. I could not find any areas of construction on this model (at least that I could see -- I did not remove any covering) to complain about. It was of comparable quality to any other ARF trainer that I have built.

I am shocked by the above remarks … the ply/balsa used by VMAR is totally cheap, I’d like to put a VMAR beside any World Models plane. As for glue, I saw almost all the VMAR planes with glue smudges pretty much everywhere. No gaps? The reviewer must be kidding me. He has no complains? What about the super thin firewalls used or the super cheap wood? Oh yes, the VMARS are light!

I actually put a Hornet and the RCM trainer side by side yesterday, the quality is just worlds apart.
