Default RE: RAF Cosford 2004

Does anyone know if the B52 made it over the weekend?

It had some steering problems and take off was aborted on Saturday and I had to go at about 4.

I was stood next to two yawping spectators inexorably pleased that it was having problems, you know "typical, come to see something special and it just wont work, obviously crap you'd think they knew what they were doing, how amatuer" etc etc.

It was all I could do not to say something but doubtless it would go over their nit picking pea brained heads. We had all just witnessed a succesful 8 x model jet turbine start!!!!!!! Bystanders like myself can only marvel at the engineering and guess at the issues. To have it rubbished by these two know it alls was so insulting.

I bet they probably have loads of friends at their club!!

Good show for turbines though, loads in the air and many scale, the A10 was impressive. What were the two aerobatic ones boom and tail jobs, were they Boomerangs??

I could not believe Ali Maschinski's display. It was so impressive, smooth, constant, lively, you could hear the motor spooling up and down all the time, just making it right. It does show you don't have to have it full bore all the time.

I take my hat off and bow down to his expertise, I am not worthy!!!
