If you have to travel with G2's controller.......isn't that the same thing as travelling with your own transmitter? And as far as batteries go, when you pull the crystal so the transmitter doesn't radiate, you'll get hours of use out of the batteries.
G2 is a great sim, but XTR isn't a replacement....I guess MRC designed it to be the next step. Let's face it, If you're using a basic Nokia cell phone and you decide to buy a Motorola Camera Phone, you can't really expect the Motorola to work with the Nokia charger.
