don't just buy a new pull starter each time. take it apart and work on it. it is frustrating, yes, i would know. it took me some where around 1.5 hours to fix my cause the spring kept flyin' out right as i tried to close the pullstart up. be patient and work carefully. atleast it saves you a few bucks every time that happens. and next time don't just yank as hard as you can, do small 5-10 inch tugs quickly and when you hear it want to start, give one good tug, not all the way out, just real quick and firm. thats how i start my and my starts beautifully every time, no problem.
