oh boy, here we go....
There have been a few wing failures, not tons as you put it. The cause of the failures is pretty well known among those of us building and flying them, and has been discussed here too. If you have any first hand information to pass on, I'm sure we'd all be interested to hear it. But please check your facts before posting.
