RE: UPS strikes again
You are the victim of an extremely poor packaging job....I doubt UPS (or anyone for that matter) would accept any liability for what is documented in those photos
-used carton (note the 3 different types of tape on the outside)
-the lid, and possibly the box has been poorly spliced together
- the rolls of plastic and paper in side that are supposed to serve as packing, are totally insufficient for the jet they are supposed to protect.
- the jet is not cradled so that it is at least 4" away from the inner carton surfaces
- the volume of packing is insufficient to support the carton and prevent any air voids
-there are no internal bulkheads to support the ends. lid, and sides from the weight of other boxes that are going to be piled on top of it.
- there is no shock absorbing media to protect against drops and bumps
and finally, who would ship a jet with the whip antenna still attached ?
Sorry your jet got broke, but you will need to go back to the shipper on this one...
The reality is that a well packed model should survive a drop from a tailgate, and you should be able to stand on it without damaging the contents - no matter who your carrier of choice is. There is no such thing as too much or too strong !
