I am using the following on a WildHare Extra Special 28% and Futaba 9CAP:
TX 1-2000mAh NiMh
RX 2-2150mAh NiMh
Ign 1-1650mAh NiMh
After reading the appendix of the Miniron operating manual I was under the impression that they recommended the reflex mode as a safer way of charging NiMh batteries. Granted I'm still learning about the Miniron and will next try the regular charge cycle to see how that works.
I fly on Saturday and Sunday therefore I use the discharge/charge program starting Monday night. I unplug the A/C early Friday morning to avoid the 3 day recycle program. If I understand correctly the Miniron goes into trickle charge after it completes its program, so I feel the batteries are kept topped off during the week. I sure am enjoying learning about this charger.
With today's batteries, you really don't need the reflex mode. There has been a lot written about it, do a google check.
Besides, with NmHd, you don't need to discharge, just go with charge. If you want to check the condition of your batteries at times then do a D/C (discharge/charge)
Your right, there is a lot more about this charger then first meets the eye.
