Depending upon how much the engine's been run, the fuel requirements can differ.
If it's never been run, or you have absolutely no idea how it's been run, use at least two gallons of fuel that contains AT LEAST 15% oil content. All-castor was preferred by SuperTigre at the time the engine came out. After that, you can go to a fuel with 10%-12% oil content, also all-castor.
Nitro up to 10% is OK, but 5% seems to run the best.
For glow plugs, people have had success with a variety. An O.S. Max #8 plug or #A3 plug seem to work well, but many people have also used the O.S> Max Typer F plug with great success, especially if they're using 0% nitro fuel.
Prop the engine so that it turns in the mid- to high-7,000's at full throttle on the ground when leaned to just rich of peak. You'll find the engine is very, very reliable.
