I had heard that too ... but this thing will do a high alpha pass at 3 clicks over idle. I don't know if it is because of the "Waco wingtips" that I added or what but it will literally float with ease. One thing I did notice though, that floating gives you a false sense of stability. It goes from floating with no "mushiness" to a dead stall with no warning. Luckily I was high enough to handle it when I tested this. There was abosultely no breeze when I was flying yesterday so I am expecting this thing to fly backwards in the normal 10-15mph winds around here.

Oh, and I have flaperons programmed but never did try them. Maybe I will get to try them tomorrow.
