Unfortunately people can be very deceptive and dishonest when trying to unload junk for the "all mighty" dollar! To speak to the topic of miss advertising... I was browsing Ebay Motors one day in the VW Bug section and I saw a very nice, red "1998" Bug up for auction in Florida. I had a 98 Bug so I know there is one blaring "tell tale" sign that only the 98's have, or should I say don't have... The first year reintroduced VW Beetle (1998) did not come with side marker lights that are located right below the side view mirrors. I had to do it, I sent the gentleman an Email stating these facts and asked him what he is trying to do. He sent back to me a message that he doesn't have a picture of his bug but the one he posted looks "just like" his. I looked at the Ebay add about 20 minutes later and saw that he didn't change anything in the add except to edit the photo to delete the side marker light! As stated... Buyer beware...
