I've had someone try that with me. I bought something from ebay and got shafted outta the deal.

Then I became my own detective. After much completely-legal hunting on the internet I found him and gave him a call (he'd listed a bogus number). It's amazing what happens when you use [email protected] for an email. Esp. when your name's on a local flying club's contact page. Turned out he was about 14 so I worked the details out with his parents. I told them of the gross and obvious lie that was his ad and we worked it out.

I figure they grounded him for life.
