Glorified Paper Weights
Hey Guys, don't get to hard on Spectrum! I know him quite well and if you knew him you would know he cares more about the fellow flyer more than 99% of the rest of us do. The fact is what he is saying is true, and if you don't think so just look around at the field! How many times have you seen a plane go in because of a engine out? I can tell you alot, and most of the time it's because of a old or problem engine that was bought cheap! You that have had the years of flying under your belts know it's true and you useuly avoid that person at all cost because the last thing you want is a night or day full of tinkering with a engine that has a good chgance of putting that pretty airplane into a million pieces because of a flame out. I'm a little different, I watch the person that is tinkering untill he gets it running and then I pull up a chair and watch a good crash or some of the most comical flights I've ever seen in my life. Of course I sit beside something I can dive into or under if you know what I mean. Then after the crash I offer $5 for the crash to rub it in a little. (If you Even Spectrumthink I'm makeing this up just ask anyone around this area, most have been offered $5 ) Now I will tell you how Spectum handles his engines, A engine is never carried by the hub because a bump or jar may bend the crank. You never take off untill you know the engine is right! (only guy I know who uses more sylicone than a implant shop, but there willl be no air leaks on his engines)
So guys it's not the hobbyshop that runs this article it's the truth and we must accept what is said is true. If you say you have never sold junk your lying if you haver every had a ASP and own one no more! Nuf said.
Oh and I run G-62's all the time and no rub marks here! ( I clean em off)
