Not a bad idea to get a leather glove till you get a handle on starting it. Just give it a good wack across compression, with the carb set just above an idle. Turn the motor over, with the ign. shut off , with your finger in the carb hole till your finger gets wet with gas, turn on the ign and give it a wack.
