Er no. The settings sound fine. Just look at the age of that engine. 10-12 gallons is just about time for a piston and liner for that engine. My thinking is that youve lost compression. Try to spin the flywheel round when cold. If it goes easily then it's had it. If it is still poping as it goes through TDC then try it when hot this is when you'll have no compression and when it'll show most.
