Those are things that sponsors look for.
For me - It is a long story. Kind of hard to put it all into words.
I used to race a lot. Now I mostly bash around and test their new products and I am working to beat the world speed record. I will most likely make the event in California next July 2004 (I hope). I was working on this before that was ever anounced. I have had Venom Racing send me a few things as a one time deal. I have a couple other companies that also sponsor other parts for my car. Like
http://www.modelelectronicscorp.com/ sponsors me for all my pinion gears.
I am finding it is not hard to break that 100MPh barier, but to get faster than that is not as easy as other people make it sound. It takes a lot of work and it is not just adding a lot of batteries to a chassis. If it were that easy anyone enough money would do it. I find once you get over 50 - 60 MPh the car is not very easy to control at all. I have been working on this for almost a year now. Just the design and planning alone takes a lot of work and time. I now make some of my own RC parts on a CNC Mill.
And on that other site where they are bickering about not enough room to get up to speed. If you go to far you can no longer see the car to control it. Anyhoo - I can go on and on. Help this helps.
