Default Congraulations !!

John,
I for one am glad to see your project was a success! What kind of Range did you finally get. Obviously you were satisfied with it," and all seems to be OK. Did you setup your fail-safe for shutdown? And did you check your ECU fail-safe counter, and was it showing zero?

I would like feed back from any other pilots, so we can all come up with an acceptable minimum distance for the range check. We all know the average maximum range is 300 feet or 1/2 a mile. DavidR thinks 85 to 90 paces is fine, I agree if we are talking normal paces, which equal about 3 feet each. My thoughts on the minimum are that your radio should work perfect farther out than you could ever imagine letting your aircraft get, while it's either on the ground or very close to the ground!
