In all probability, you can get away without the dorsal fin. On full-size aircraft, they were added to correct handling difficulties or remove a bit of tail wag. The original P-51's didn't have them, but when they went to the bubble, it was found to be necessary. Same with the P-47. On the model, it's small enough that you likely won't notice a thing.
