The Easy 2 trainer with an O.S.46FX ought to fairly leap into the air and climb very well. A 11-6 would be better choice, but a 10-6 prop should work. There remains only two reasons why it flies so badly. It’s too heavy or the engine is not running right. Since it is an ARF, it’s not likely to be much overweight so that leaves the engine. Be sure the engine is leaned just a little less than peak RPM at full throttle. If you have a tach, the RPM should be in the 15-16,000 range, and if you don’t have a tach, the sound should be almost a scream. With the engine running and the throttle wide open, slowly twist the needle valve to lean the mixture. The sound will increase in pitch until it reaches a maximum then suddenly drop back. It may even quit. Back off the needle valve a little (about a quarter turn). Restart the engine if necessary and notice what the engine sounds like just off peak. With this power the airplane should climb out quite lively. You might have to reset the idle. If you need help with that just ask.
