I've only seen video of one flying and it really didn't look too stable.
My guess is that it flies a lot like the Snoopy dog house, which is to say, you're right, it's not too stable. I've never flown it (the Snoopy) but I've seen it, and it looked like it flew like a somewhat heavy pizza box flyer, which, essentially, is what it is.
