Tower Hobbies now carries the GWS line. Not sure if everything is in stock, but I like their service so far.

If you are considering the SS with the 300 motor:
If you get the basic Futaba 4 channel radio with the micro servos and reciever, that will do you.
You'll also need to order a pack of props (1180) and maybe a prop shaft or two. You'll want at least 2 batteries of 7 cells (8.4Volts) of between 600 to 1100 mah size. The size that I think fits best on a SS is the ones where the battery pack is about two battery lengths long. You'll need a charger to charge them. I use the Great Planes AC Park Flyer charger and am happy with it so far.
Get some packing tape for reinforcements and consider getting some 5/32" brass tube to make some new dihedral braces for the SS before you put it together. I've just done that on mine and hope to get it up here at RCU (with pictures) soon.
When it comes to chargers and radio's, the sky is the limit. If you are going to be in the hobby for a while, consider getting a 6 channel radio that allows you to do mixing. A charger that lets you charge Lithium Polymer batteries may be useful too, if you have the cash. It is one of the first upgrades that those flying electrics seem to do.
