It's been a long time, but I do know that I have 378/IRQ7 assigned in my PC BIOS. You go into setup while booting by pressing delete key. You go to integrated peripherals and instead of "auto" for the port you assin the IRQ as mentioned above. If you are not comfortable with this, do not do it. Perhaps you have a friend more knowledgeable with PC's. I will not be responsible for results. All I know is that it got things working for me. XP handles IRQ's and I think when it takes over it's already too late in the process, because the PPJOY interface that we are using has already been loaded and doesn't know what XP did later. If the assignment occurs right at the start of booting PPJOY can be aware of what IRQ is to be used.
