Roger, what you want to look at when your in there is the cam gear and the tappets. With the play caused by the worn bearings, they tend to take a beating. Check for the tappet ends to see if they are peened over and look for a groove where they ride on the cam lobe. The gear is usually good, but its a one piece unit. Good luck, Joe
