I don't have a 3W, and I don't think this is a good idea, but when there is limited space and your out of options-- I have an Ignition Module mounted directly to the top of the engine case with zip ties, Just a pc. of 1/8 th inch foam between it and the engine case, been ther for 6 months, never had a problem.
