Default RE: GREAT PLANES GEE BEE ARF LANDING PROBLEMS?

Greetings Hattend:
Sorry for the long delay, but I was out of town for awhile. About the plane running out of elevator on a tail-heavy airplane. I probably did not give enough background for my hunch to make sense. What I have experienced is this. While on maiden flight with a Cap 232, the plane was not balanced prior to flight (I had intended to check the cg the night before, but getting on in age, the big 50 coming Jan., I plum forgot). The plane climbed like a home-sick angel and I had to feed in nearly all the down trim at the stick to achieve level flight. On landing, I made adjustments at the linkage, but still had not checked the cg. The plane flew level the next flight but upon landing I noticed that I was out of elevator stick some 25 feet above ground. My investigation upon landing revealed my cg mistake. That is why I suggested that the plane could be tail-heavy.
