Default RE: Coke bottle tank setup

ORIGINAL: siclick33

Stupid question time again!

Should I put any form of sealant around the nipples for the fill and vent lines on my coke bottle? If so what stuff should I use? I have read that 'Seal All' can be used in the US but I am not sure if I can get it in the UK. What can I use that won't be attacked by the Kero?

Thanks
I have a 2 litre coke bottle in my Harpoon/Rookie. It's not sealed with anything, just done up at tight as I could get it by hand. It has been in action since February and I always leave it with whatever fuel was left from the last run and it hasn't leaked. When you think about it, coke can be pretty corrosive stuff as can any carbonated drink. CO2 is acidic and so the standard material for fizzy drink plastic bottles and caps need to be pretty inert.
