Jim, I just picked one of these up with a NT 46 installed. I use a Hitec eclipse transmitter--could you talk a little more about your transmitter set up for ailerons and elevator on the Pizzaz? By chance, do you use an eclipse transmitter? If so, I would like to try to duiplicate your program as a starting point.
Hi Dan,
I use flaperon setup almost exclusively on my eclipse and its relatively straightforward to setup. As Jim was saying setup left aileron on channel 1, right on 6. Then enter programming mode on your eclispe and move to FLPN. Click on clear to remove the inhibit.
Now at this point the wing servos are in flaperon mode. Move the stick to the right and left. If the ailerons don't move the correct way you can go into the REV menu and reverse the ailerons.
Assuming that's OK you will now also notice that turning the flaps knob (at the top on the left - marked as VR1 I think) will move both both ailerons up or down at the same time. You will have to play with this a bit to get the setup you want. You can also enable elevator to flaps (for those tighter loops) mixing by going to ELE->FLAP mode and pressing clear to remove the inhibit. At this point you will also have to set the percent mix which governs how much the flaperons move for a given amount of elevator movement.
You can use the LAND mode to give yourself a given flaperon deflection for landing. The LAND mode allows you to mixin the appropriate elevator deflection so the plane doesn't pitch up or down at the same time.
One thing you can also do with flaperon setup is to have aileron differential - ie more up movement than down movement. I haven't done this but it is done again in the FLPN menu.
Hope this was helpful
