RE: YT Magic Fomual
Wiz,
At 110mm the formula feels well nose heavy,
flying mine at 120mm, totally different plane,
Safest way is set the CG to 116, and try it there, for the first flight only fly half
the tank out, next flight fly out 3/4 of the tank etc till you get used to it. (at 120mm and a full tank your CG is still below 110mm with the tank full)
If your happy, move the CG to 120mm, and again fly half the tank out, etc
you will find out where you are happy with the plane, safely this way.
At 120mm it handles more like a fun fly , and it lands at less than 5 mph, but it will tend to float on.
Have had 28 flights so far, had to change the metal wing bolts as they were loosening with the vibes(lost one bolt in flight)
Just checked my CG it's at 123mm dry, and I fly the tank out .
Another 2 flights and I will try the CG at 125 mm,
Rudder and elevator movements, on high rates go for all the movement you can get, I
have 45 to 50 degree on both(using 50% expo on high)
