I have a Nexstar, and continue to use it even tho I solo a while back.

You pay for the AFS, the extra flight aids, the flight sim. If like many, you do not intend to use them, its too expensive. I never used AFS but flew with flaps and tips for a while. Its a very stable plane. If you feel u will struggle to learn, you are not too coordinated, dont want to use an instructor (bad idea), then this plane is for you.

If you dont want the extra toys, save yourself the money and buy another trainer.
