Golly, I haven't taken any offense to anything you have said. Further as far as I can see most of the advice given here was excellent. People have varying opinions of what works and what works for them.

Yesterday I had the unfortunate experience of helping a friend recover the totaled remains of a Somethin' Extra which crashed on landing approach. Although he has been flying a couple years this is the first season he has been flying alone. Earlier this year another of our fliers not that long off a buddy box sent a You-Can-Do to its' great reward. It hurts me to see people loose good airplanes and suffer disappointment when the real problem is that their enthusiasm exceeds their talents. I counsel people to keep their purchases under control and build up the flying talent with forgiving planes. If you absolutely must build that WWI bipe plan on keeping it at home a couple years while you build up talent. Oh, well, sorry about the soap box.
