Are you priming the engine? Both of my Evolutions, .45 trainer and .46 NT, need to be primed to start the first time of the day. I cover the carb, have full throttle set, and turn the prop 4-5 times when I see fuel flowing. I turn them once or twice to ensure they aren't hydrolocked. The NT started every time when new. It had a lot of pinch. You have to prime these engines and they should start easily.
