Default RE: FIVE JET

I have had this combination for three years, and flown about 70 flights on it.
I bought the fuse only, and built the rest from drawings.
With my manual start wren mk1 it weighs 11 pounds empty.
Dubro 50 oz fits over cg, and 8 oz hopper in front of it.
Have all the batteries and the pump up front, and no ballast.
Spring air HD and 3/16 wire legs , no brakes. Have flown on grass, asphalt, and gravel,
no problems. Isolate the nose wheel compartment from the rest of the fuse, so it dont throw any debris
into the fuse.
Flaps is a must, as it glides forever.
I use JR 5077 servos. They are powerful enough, but go for some with a stronger gearbox.
The Five jet is very stable and predictable, and as you dont need very expensive equipment,
I think it is one of the safest and most economical ways to get into jets.
