Photo#1 is another view of the sub's steering system. The magnet is visible in it's black ABS plastic housing.
Photo#2 is the the sub's prop/drive system.
This prop can be replaced with a slightly larger (clockwise rotation) aftermarket prop to gain extra speed. The closest prop I can think of right now is that Traxxxas prop I used in my Wally sub modification, but that prop's rotation is counterclockwise.
Photo#3 is the sub's prop gear drive system. This is a 1:1 ratio, so that is equal to direct drive with a lot of torque due to the diameter of the gears. No need to lubricate these gears, they are exposed to water when the sub is submerged.
Photo#4 is the sub's magnetic clutch drive system. The area is sealed off from the sub's WTC. The shaft drive incorporates a magnet that is held in place by an equally powerful magnet inside the sub's WTC.
