RE: ???????150mph????????
I have a 200mm '67 Nova Parma Body with a Custom built Pro Street "authentic" chassis utilizing a 4 link solid axle rear, tubbed and tubed chassis under construction. The Math says it will hit 120 mph easy (engine at 80% of max rpm allowing for drag bla bla) and the real world testing I've done has proven it most likely capable.
I mack'd it up on an ultra chassis (convenience only) which actually weighs substantually more than the actual chassis and it flat out gets BUSY RIGHT NOW but I have yet to find any RUBBER tire (for mini burn outs, not alot of "natural" smoke [bleach produces some smoke] yet but alot of black "scretch" marks have been laid down trying) to stay intacked beyond 80'ish when it shifts into OVERDRIVE. Im using 2.2 "wide" Slicks currently with modified rims (now bead lock), the tire sidewalls are splitting causing the chassis to deviate from its straight line course suddenly and CRASHING which explains why its bent up pretty bad presently, its total'd to be honest. Im going to use foams on the real McCoy until someone makes hi speed belted rubber tires capable of 120+ mph ACTUAL speed, I just hope these foams are capable cause if the real McCoy slams the rails, it will look just like the real deal, a twisted pile of wreckage. I most definitely will take and share pics after its "done and RTR".
Does ProLine, Panther, or any other manufacturer have a rubber tire capable of these speeds?
I plan on busting the "scaled" 1/4 mile Nitro record with it, Im sure I'll only get one or two chances at it before I smack the wall but Im enjoying the build, the record will only be the icing on the cake.
