I finally was able to get up for the first time this year. At the end of last season I literally flew the wings off my trainer. At the time I was completing my GP Cessna 182. I finished my cessna at the end of last season. I had one of the club trainers help me out. The trainer took it up and trimmed it out for me. Then I tried to take it up 3 ft off the ground it 'tip stalled' and did a cartwheel. Minor damage, nothing too serious. Got her all fixed up and here we go again. Took her out today, and had someone help me out with it. He got it all trimmed out. Said it flew great need some weight on one of my wings but no big deal... I then took off, flew a bit and landed... All was good, not a problem. On my second flight, disaster hits... I try to take it off would you believe I tip stalled her again, this time it was a bit more serious. As she was taking off one of the wings dropped, so I compnesated with the ailerons. Big mistake it started oscillating back and forth between the banking left and right until I realized there is no more altitude and she disappeared into the weeds. Thankfully there was really no damage... I am starting to think that I should not have gotten this plane as my second plane. Once it is up in the air ... no problem - it is just getting it up that is the issue.
