A regular at the field has a UCD, and it slows right down for landing.

I have a Seagull Spacewalker II as my 2nd plane (I liked the design better than the standard 4*SportsterMachTigerII look) and it flies well. I had it out in some crosswinds last night and it is more stable than my trainer. It was definitely interesting learning the differences from my trainer but on about the 4th approach I got it down on the ground. It's been fun to fly.
