It all depends on your present skills at consistent good landings and takeoffs. The easiest part is keeping a plane airborne. The short 3D type midwings can be inverted before you know it. Sounds like you're being honest with yourself that you might not be ready. Try the Seagull or a Goldberg Tiger. My choice would be the 4 Star 40 ARF.
