I finally got my first plane yesterday!!! Ive wanted to fly since I was in high school, of course I didnt have the money to do that then, well that was over 6 yrs ago, now Im back in NY and I have a job so I can start flying. I got a Hanger 9 Arrow, included everything so all I had to do was put the wings together and attach the tail. went to the hobby shop again today with the plane and he went over it to make sure I did everything right. we switched out the 3 blade prop and put on a 2 blade prop, he said the one that came with the trainer wasnt that good, that it would make me have to put more throttle on the plane to get it going the same speed I would with a 2 prop at less throttle. so we went outside and he showed me how to fuel it up and he started it, made sure it was all good. wanted to go to the park after that but it was after dusk so I dont think anyone was there. Im gonna go after work tomorrow and take my plane with me. dont think Im gonna take it out the car, just wanna sit where the flyers are and see how everything runs, if I start talkin to someone that doesnt mind showin me a few things Ill take it out, but think Im still a little nervous about just taking it out there at all. lol
just want to get in the air soo bad, hope this isnt as hard as some people say it is, this winter i want to build my own, seeing as how most people say thats where you really get the excitement, putting a plane in the air that you actually built. got the trainer because im new and not really much time to be puttin one together myself yet. Ill see how the trainer works and figure Ill get to understand the planes better so when its time to build my own Ill know why Im going certain things. so yeah I started looking at planes on monday, think the bug got me kinda quick, then again, I was looking 6 yrs ago. Ill let you guys know if I get to fly tomorrow.
