Default RE: 1.6 FX Engine props?

It's actually on the Edge 540 25% 78" wing, 1010 sq, all 5625's except rudder 5645 on 6 volts, two 800 nicds, 2 switches, better safe than sorry imo....Motor has more than enough pull...not 3D pull, would need say Moki 2.1 or 1.8, but don't know if 1.8 would get it. I emailed a motor service center and told them the prop and rpm and they said they usually turn, on a 1.6 fx

Dear Valued Customer:

Thank you for your Email.

An O.S. Max 1.60 FX turning an 18 x 6 prop at 8,100 RPM is doing quite well. We normally turn a 16 x 10 at 8,600, and an 18 x 10 at 7,900 RPM. From your description, nothing's wrong.

That was from Hobby Services...I'm not sure of the caps specs but you shouldn't go wrong with those servos, at 6 volts, and they are digital, 5625- 133oz.... 5645- 160 oz.

lots of power for a 12lbs. plane. with this motor I can pull about 400 feet vertical before it starts to slow, but if I stop to torque it, I have to let it fall out of it, it will not pull out. But I haven't had a plane this size in a while, and I love it...I like more IMAC style aerobatics anyway..if want to 3D, need more motor !!! IMO

I'm not sure how your cap will fly. The Edge is rock solid, knife edge, some couple, not too bad, will SNAP on hard elevator, but I think all will if in the right position. I have only like 9-10 flights counting set up flights, so still getting rates where I want them and trying learn any bad habits....

speaking of habits, see I have to watch my $ now cause my 11 yrs. old son has picked up the r/c habit, so now I have two addictions to feed
