Wow... those 5925's are way overkill.. but if you have 'em.. you can use 'em.. There is a little bit of a weight penalty... I'd go standards if I had a choice to save the weight.

You can use 4-40 pushrods or do the solder thing.. That's what I did. 1/16" music wire with a threaded coupler soldered on both ends. Again.. It comes down to weight.

The APC prop are pretty durable.. The problem with the MA props is that you loose a lot of effeciancy..... but they are more durable.. Try one out and see if it has enough pull.
