It definitely prevents rust and everything, but my maxx takes FOREVER to start if i have done WD-40 on it the night before. Instead of like a few seconds, it takes over a minute and once it is running you cant give it gas til it burns off the WD-40 or it will stall. Now i use after-run oil and it starts fine.
