Do you intend to fly the plane much? If so brushless is the only way to go. How many brushed motors can you move from plane to plane to plane?

Brushed motors tend to heat up and loose power during a flight. On brushless it follows the power level of the battery closer.

I think brushless motors tend to be more consistant from motor to motor. Brushed motors are more hit and miss.

You do have to do a little more research when buying a brushless motor, if you size it wrong you can be out some bucks.
