Look at the base of the cylinder, there will be some casting numbers..If you find a 44ZN it's a 3.2, if not it's a 3.1...The 3.1 is a very good engine, made from a different model Sachs chainsaw....It's a little heavier because the crank is larger diameter and stronger than the one used in the 3.2....
