RE: Engine Preventive Maintenance.
For a 3port engine, it's pretty amazing. I don't feel like I'm at the losing end in terms of engine choice. I can still keep up with those RBs, Nova's and JPRacing engined buggies I race with.
I went ahead and just changed the conrod. Like I said, I don't wanna wait for a catastrophe. I piston sleeve had no scoring at all and all I had to do was polish the piston crown to remove some of the burned up grit on it.
I just came back from the track and the engine is still in great condition.
A broken conrod is so unpredictable in terms of the damage it can cause so spending the 20 bucks at least gives me piece of mind for another 6 gallons.
