You may want to check out some of the foamies...... IMHO they are probably the best 3D trainers you can get..... After all, if you stick one in the ground, you are out a few bucks for the foam airframe...the electronics and motors usually survive even the worst crashes.

These things will even take the wind, we fly them in some winds that simply amaze anyone around that just can't believe that we will fly them. Which actually makes it nice that you don't have to wait for a perfectly calm day to go fly it..... The hovers simply turn more into harriers, I like to do rolls at a stand still with mine.... nose it into the wind, cut the power until it is in a perfectly still harrier and then roll it upside down and the on over again..... backwards flight is always fun...... ASCENDING flat spins.....
