We measured the exhaust gas temp at the exhaust pipe flange, right at the cylinder, at 850 degrees F....Head temps of 300F are not uncommon on high output gassers, so the mufflers would have to be somewhere in between the two....[8D]
Thanks for the info, we are trying to see what material and what thickness etc. to start making mufflers.

I'll pass this on to my brother.
