Sorry, Mike, no, you cannot. You have to take the module out to not transmit. There's no problem as long as you're careful with the module; however, if you do pull the module in and out a lot (ie use with a sim), be sure to mention that when you send your radio for its regular checkups so that we triple check the attachment of the pins.
