On a nice high traction, smooth track stiffer springs definetly increase traction. I am also running the front one way and 4 gear rear diff. Compared to stock this makes the car handle quite differently. I definetly recommend a TX that has the "ABS" feature on it to keep you from spinning when on the brakes.
