Default RE: Need some help with parts on Thunderquake.

Hi Billsky, here is some info that I copyed and pasted from our club site at www.nitroextreme.com because no one is allowed to post forum links anymore.

info taken from NE...

For those of you who want more performance out of your TQ's, change the heavy factory wheels and tires for smaller ones to give you more off line performance and better overall handling. This mod also takes a great deal of stress off the suspension components by cutting the stock wheel/tire weight in HALF! so for hardcore thrashing and bashing you will hurtless/break less parts.

I suggest removing the stock 19mm hexes and replacing them with OFNA 17mm hexes and then you can use the OFNA Blazer or Dominator or Imex 17mm 8scale wheels. I recomend using the OFNA Blazer wheels because they have (less offset), a better offset.

From here you can use any SAV/MAX type tire which will greatly decrease the rotating wheel mass.

You can also use any standard offset SAV/MAX wheel also if you like by using the RACERS EDGE ofna wheel conversion kit, part # SD1000 or other simular one to it. The SAV/MAX 14mm hex mod is on the left side and the BLAZER/DOMINATOR 17mm hex mod is on the right side.

note to mod... it's a real pain in the rear doing this way.
