I sure don't believe that I would pay that for the combo but you have to judge for yourself. I have a Lanier 33% 300S with a Brison 6.4 twin and it's a pretty heavy combo by today's standards. Around 30 lbs.

The current price for the 5.8 is $579.95 + muffler. However, you do get a warranty which can be pretty important. A lighter weight and a little more expensive engine is the ZDZ80 single.
